I taught the 9^th grade elective English class by myself today because Ms. Mishima was at the local Akana Town Festival this morning. Today's theme was the history of Halloween. It really makes me happy to teach kids that like English. I hated studying Spanish in High School, so I totally understand the Japanese kids that don't like learning English, but then again as a teacher of English, of course I will like the students that like English more.

今朝、三島先生は地域の赤名祭りに行ったから、1人で3年生選択英語B授業を教えました。今回のテーマはハロウィンの歴史でした。本当に英語が好きな生徒に教えるのがとても嬉しくなります。高校でスペイン語を勉強しなければならなかったとき、スペイン語が嫌いだったから、英語が好きじゃない日本人の生徒の場合がよく分かるけど、英語教師になった僕はもちろん英語が好きな生徒が好きです。
