In retrospect

The Shimane JETs! web site was hack into this week by a group in Turkey! I fixed the site a lot of times, but no matter what I did the hackers returned. I might have to use another type of software for the site. The big problem with doing that is that I might lose all the data and user info if I do it. In retrospect we should have restricted membership to the site to known people only.

apparently BD was also hacked but why islamic or in fact any group would want to hack JET websites is beyond me...
How do you findout somehting like you've been hacked by a group in turkey?
Umm, is this the part where I start ranting about effing script kiddies?

I found out because the hackers put up a front page with their political message on it. Very annoying.

In my case they were exploiting a security hole in e107 that I hadn't patched up yet.
